Grace grew up listening to traditional Pacific Island music and enriched her island music heritage with pop, RnB, dance and other contemporary sounds. Inspired mostly by her family, friends and the musicians that surround her life with the sweet sounds of soul. Grace began her singing career at the young age of 13, and after leaving school in 1999 moved into full time work as a recording and performing artist. Over her career Grace has recorded with a series of both local and international producers, and is now performing with some of Sydney’s top RnB and Soul groups, which include Brown Sugar, Soul Nights and Suite AZ and can be seen at venues including The Marble Bar at The Hilton and The Golden Sheaf in Double Bay.
Vocals – Barry Southgate. A favourite with RnB lovers... and the ladies. Despite bowing out as a Top 24 finalist, Barry was the only non-Top 12 or Wildcard contestant selected to perform at the Australian Idol Grand Finale in 2004 at the Sydney Opera House before millions. Post Idol, Barry quickly went from a virtual unknown to being extremely high in demand. He was notably the only contestant of his entire season asked to host a PR tour for Channel Ten, as well as to be the special celebrity guest alongside Neighbours star, Dan O'Connor, at Telstra's Australian Idol media presentation. However, it was 2005 through to 2010 that proved to be Barry's most promising period yet, with him being involved in more than a dozen recording projects as a singer, songwriter, vocal arranger and producer. To add to his staggering amount of achievements, he was personally requested to lend vocals to Guy Sebastian’s ‘Receive the Power’, the song chosen by the Vatican as the international theme for World Youth Day 2008. Subsequently, Barry went on to actually perform at WYD ‘08, his performance during the crucial ‘Stations of the Cross’ TV broadcast reportedly being viewed by more than half a billion people globally.
